Welcome to Sugoa Ko (“the Platform”), operated from the Philippines. By creating an account or using sugoa-ko.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What Sugoa Ko is

Sugoa Ko is a marketplace that connects people who need errands done (“Manugo”) with independent errand runners (“Magpasugo”). Magpasugo are not employees, agents, or representatives of Sugoa Ko. The Platform facilitates matching, communication, and payment handling; the service itself is agreed and performed between the Manugo and the Magpasugo.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to abuse promos, manipulate ratings, or evade moderation is prohibited.
  • Magpasugo must complete identity verification (valid government ID) before accepting work.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Payments and escrow

  • The Manugo pays the agreed fee — plus any item/materials budget and the Manugo’s share of the Platform fee — into Sugoa Ko’s escrow before work begins.
  • Sugoa Ko releases payment to the Magpasugo after the Manugo confirms completion, less the Magpasugo’s share of the Platform fee.
  • The standard Platform fee is currently 5% of the agreed service fee from the Manugo and 5% from the Magpasugo. The fee for an errand is fixed at the moment an offer is accepted; Sugoa Ko may adjust the standard rates from time to time, and changes never affect errands already in progress. During promotions, Sugoa Ko may reduce or fully waive either side’s share. These fees fund escrow protection, chat moderation, user support, and the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Platform for all users.
  • Item budgets are reconciled against receipts: unused budget is returned to the Manugo; overruns must be topped up before completion.
  • All payments must flow through the Platform. Paying or accepting payment outside the Platform voids escrow protection and may result in account suspension.
  • Disputes are reviewed by Sugoa Ko moderators using the in-app chat record; the moderator’s decision on escrowed funds is final.

4. Conduct and prohibited errands

You may not use Sugoa Ko for anything illegal or dangerous, including but not limited to:

  • purchasing or transporting illegal goods, weapons, or controlled substances;
  • fraud, impersonation, or errands involving another person’s accounts or identity documents;
  • harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward other users or moderators;
  • academic dishonesty (e.g., taking exams for someone) or any errand that would break Philippine law.

In-app chat is moderated. Attempts to move negotiations off-platform (sharing contact details, external messaging apps) are automatically masked and flagged.

5. Marketplace

Sugoa Ko may offer a Marketplace where users list items for sale and others bid to buy them. Sellers set a starting price and choose which bid to accept.

  • The buyer pays the agreed price into Sugoa Ko’s escrow. The seller is paid — less a platform fee (by default 2% of the sale, deducted from the seller’s proceeds) — only after the buyer confirms they received the item, or after a moderator resolves a dispute.
  • Sellers must accurately describe items and have the legal right to sell them. You may not list prohibited or illegal items — including weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeits, recalled products, live animals, government IDs, or anything Philippine law forbids.
  • Every listing is reviewed before it appears, and listings may be removed at Sugoa Ko’s discretion.
  • Sugoa Ko facilitates the sale and holds payment in escrow, but is not the seller and does not guarantee the condition, authenticity, or legality of items. Inspect items before releasing payment.
  • Delivery, if arranged, is handled as a separate errand with its own fee and escrow.

6. Moderation

Sugoa Ko may cancel errands, hide messages, withhold or refund escrowed amounts pending review, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these terms. All moderation actions are logged.

7. Promos

Promotional benefits (discounts, waived commissions, vouchers) are offered at Sugoa Ko’s discretion, may have caps and expiry dates, have no cash value, and may be revoked in cases of abuse.

8. Liability, release, and indemnity

The Platform is provided “as is.” Sugoa Ko is a venue: we verify Magpasugo identities, moderate chat, and hold payments in escrow — but identity verification is not an endorsement or guarantee of any user’s honesty, skill, or conduct, and Sugoa Ko is not a party to any agreement between users.

To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law:

  • Sugoa Ko’s total liability for anything arising from an errand, hire, or sale is limited to the escrowed amount it holds for that transaction;
  • Sugoa Ko is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, personal injury, property damage, or losses from dealings conducted outside the Platform’s escrow;
  • you release Sugoa Ko from claims arising from disputes between users — our moderators decide escrowed funds, and anything beyond that is between the users involved; and
  • you will indemnify Sugoa Ko against claims arising from your own conduct, errands, listings, or violations of these terms.

Meet-ups and services happen in the real world — exercise the same judgment you would with any stranger.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
